Children are our future. It is so enjoyable to watch the magic in their eyes. Every child is different and has so much potential, they look to us as adults to help guide and maintain that happiness. Help them develop the strong qualities of CONFIDENCE, KINDNESS, and RESPECT. Loving and focusing on the positive, in everything they do, is critical in developing a confident child. Boosting their self esteem is very important.

I have worked with children all my life, in various ways. I have spent numerous summers working in daycares, as well as volunteering my time to schools all throughout my life, to working as an assistant director of an extended day program at a charter school and substituting. I have been an active part of my son’s education and volunteering in his classroom since Kindergarten. I have worked with different kinds of children throughout, which has diversified me in the knowledge of all children, from different cultures, backgrounds, family dynamics, learning disabilities, and special needs children.

I have a degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Science. I have had my substitute teacher’s license, and am lead teacher certified in the state of Colorado. I am a mother of an amazing son, who I am so proud of each and every day. He is my everything and motherhood is my greatest accomplishment. I am so thrilled to be able to own this wonderful school, and am so excited to welcome your children to the Meadowlark family.

I have always wanted to help children learn and grow in a positive learning enviornment. I am so honored to be part of their learning experience. I have a BA in Liberal Studies from California State University-Monterey Bay. I am lead teacher qualified in the state of Colorado, and enjoyed my time working as a nanny for 14 years. I love taking care of children. My husband and I are both from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. We lived here in Boulder for college, moved to California for work, then after having our first child, decided to return to Boulder. We now live here in south Boulder with our two wonderful children, Isabel 10, Zachary 9, and our dog Max. We absolutely love being a part of this caring and welcoming community. As a parent and a teacher, I am committed to providing quality care by using patience, understanding, reponsibility, education and play as ways to nurture children’s individual growth.

My passion has always been working with young children. I am a Front Range Community College graduate with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have years of experience in the preschool setting and have worked with children from infancy through age twelve. My area of particular interest and specialty is the preschool age, because I feel that this is the time when children are most influenced by the world around them, and I enjoy watching their curiosity expand as they make new discoveries each day. As a teacher, I feel that I have the important responsibility of making a positive impact on their education and helping to expose them to a variety of enjoyable and stimulating learning opportunities. When I am not working in the preschool setting, I enjoy exploring the outdoors in my home state and spending time with friends and family. I consider myself a fun- loving and outgoing people-person, and I enjoy helping others, making them laugh, and especially serving as a role model for young children. I cannot think of anything I would rather do than commit to serving as a positive influence for our future generation.

I am very excited to continue my teaching journey within such a wonderful program, and look forward to getting to know each one of you and contributing to such an important time in your child’s life.
